Swamp People Star Mitchell Guist Has Died

man GYLO got me watching this show these two brothers where cool and kinda like free spirits man this is very sad.

Mitchell Guist, one of the happy-go-lucky stars of the hit reality TV show "Swamp People," has died. Guist appeared on the show with his brother, Glenn. Their History Channel biography says: "Swampers through and through, Glenn and Mitchell Guist were born and raised on the bayou and live entirely off the land.

These brothers are always up to something, whether it’s hunting for their dinner or making use of everything nature has to offer." According to Sheriff Mike Waguespack, who spoke to WRBZ Louisiana, Guist was in his boat along the Belle River when he apparently fell.

Witnesses say he appeared to have been suffering from a seizure. "Swamp People" has been a hit for the History Channel. Currently in its third season, the show focuses on the lives of alligator hunters in rural Louisiana. The Guist brothers joined the cast in the second season.

There is no official word yet on Guist's cause of death.  He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to WAFB. CPR attempts were unsuccessful. There is no word on whether an autopsy will be performed.

News of Guist's death quickly spread. "Swamp People" became a trending term on Twitter. The condolences rolled in on the show's official Facebook page. "Rip Mitch!! So sad :0( Glen is gonna be lost without him," one person wrote. Another posted, "Couldn't help but shed some tears. RIP Mitch."

Guist was a likable fellow. When, during one episode, he was asked about his favorite food, he responded, ”squirrels, rabbits, deers, fish, frogs… I ain’t really picky on food.”

R.I.P. To My Friend & GYLO's Cousin KEViN WEATHERSPOON

Man this is so sad and i know alot of people say this but Kevin was a good dude for real man straight up good kind soul. He use to do Monologues and acting and his life was taken from us yesterday and the weird thing about it is for some strange reason me & Tahiti was just talking bout him yesterday evening & i havent seen him in a few years and then after me & GYLO got back from Wal Mart Sarah Layton his cousin sends GYLO the news man to all my brothers & sisters out there please take care of yourself and let go of that petty stuff. And for those who may not know in my DRAKE FEAR PEMiX i used a portion of one of Kevin's Monologues i did this back in November of 2009 its @ the 3:58 mark thats Kevin in the White Shirt when i hosted the open mic Night @ Sankofa back in 2008 Kevin came thru and performed some of his monologues. Kevin Studied Theater Performance @ Northern Arizona College and leaves behind a long list of family friends, relatives and love ones. And will not be forgotten.

Rest In Peace 2 R&B Legend VESTA Dead @ 48 Years Old

*EUR is deeply saddened to hear that singer Vesta Williams has passed away. Details are sketchy at this time, but it’s being reported that the singer’s body was found in a Los Angeles hotel room.
The cause of death is unknown. She was 48
According to her listing in Wikipedia, Williams in 1963 in Coshocton, Ohio. She was originally credited by her full name, but she has also been billed as Vesta since the 1990s.
Although Williams never had any albums certified gold and never had any Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, she scored seven Top 20 R&B hits from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s.

Sad News Spartacus Actor Andy Whitfield Has Died @ Age 39

"Spartacus" actor Andy Whitfield has died, CNN has confirmed. Fans of Starz Entertainment's original drama "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" know Whitfield as the titular gladiator.

According to the New York Times, the 39-year-old passed away on Sunday in Sydney, Australia from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Whitfield leaves behind his wife, Vashti, two children, and a sister.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Andy Whitfield,” said Starz President and CEO Chris Albrecht in a statement.


“We were fortunate to have worked with Andy in 'Spartacus' and came to know that the man who played a champion on-screen was also a champion in his own life," Albrecht continued. "Andy was an inspiration to all of us as he faced this very personal battle with courage, strength and grace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. He will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and fans.”

"Spartacus" creator Steven DeKnight shared his thoughts on Twitter, writing, "No words to express the depth of such a loss. You will be deeply missed, my brother."

Whitfield rose to stardom on the Starz series, but took what was intended to be a temporary hiatus following a check-up in March of 2010, the NYT reports. Starz ended up using a variety of actors for a prequel, "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" as they waited for Whitfield to return, but he never became well enough to do so.

Australian actor Liam McIntyre was tapped to fill the lead for the second season. At the time, McIntyre commended Whitfield for his work on the show, and said that "everybody hurts that he's had to give up that role, myself included."

Whitfield's co-stars are chiming in with their condolences as well. In a statement on her fan site, "Spartacus" actress (and former "Xena" star) Lucy Lawless is quoted as saying that "Obviously, Andy Whitfield left an indelible mark on all of us in the 'Spartacus' family."

"He was a gentle man who never said a bad word about anyone, a gifted photographer, engineer (no really!) and a brilliant actor," the statement said. "Andy's incandescent film presence made men want to be him and women want to marry him. Andy's two babies will always know that their Daddy cherished them and their mother, Vashti, above all things. How lucky we were to have him grace all our lives. Godspeed, Andy!"

Sad News Nick Ashford Of Ashford & Simpson Has Died Rest In Peace

NEW YORK (AP) – Nick Ashford, one-half of the legendary Motown songwriting duo Ashford & Simpson, has died at age 70.

His longtime friend and former publicist Liz Rosenberg told the Associated Press that Ashford — who along with wife Valerie Simpson wrote some of Motown's biggest hits — died Monday in a New York City hospital. He had been suffering from throat cancer and had undergone radiation treatment.
Among the songs Ashford & Simpson penned are Ain't No Mountain High Enough, You're All I Need To Get By and Reach Out And Touch Somebody's Hand.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
