Man I remember it like it was yesterday when we got word the Pimp C passed he was good friends of my homeboys the legendary Bobo Luchiano and use to freQuently call the radio show i co hosted with Bobo Luchiano, DJ Fish, David, DJ Drop & Kita Khat so it really was a sad time knowing that Pimp C and Bobo was extremely close. For those who may not know Pimp C said Bobo's name in his song One Day You Here & The Next Day you're gone and everytime i hear that line I get chills. I had the chance to meet Pimp C & Bun B back in about 98 at the Dream Circle Studios in Oak Cliff and im glad I got a chance to. Rest in Peace To a Southern Rap Pioneer who did more than you can ever imagine to get Southern Rap out of the confines of our region and out to the world.

The life of the late Pimp C. will be celebrated next month when his wife presents the Inaugural Chad Butler Hip Hop & Health/Wellness Fair in Port Arthur, Texas.
UGK group member Bun B. will be on hand for the event, which will also feature appearances by Too Short, Trae the Truth, Jackie-O, Dorrough and others.
Pimp C.’s wife Chinara Butler’s UGQ Inc. has partnered with the CCM Foundation and the Syphilis Elimination Advisory Committee (S.E.A.C.) to present the event, which promotes safe sex, regular testing, abstinence and drug prevention.
The event will take place on December 4 each year, to mark the date of Pimp C.’s death. Pimp C., born Chad Butler, was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room.
UGQ has also teamed with The Port Arthur Health Department to provide free vaccinations and HIV/STD testing.
The 1st Annual Chad “Pimp C.” Butler Hip Hop & Health/Wellness Fair will take place at the Port Arthur, Texas Pavilion on Friday (December 4) from 6:00PM - 10:00 PM.

for some reason I was moved to watch some Pimp C interviews on Youtube and I found this one Chad Butler will be missed. This man has done alot for the Southern Hiphop and Rap Movement. R.I.P. Pimp C
