Rapper Big Sean Takes Plea Deal On Sexual Misconduct Charges

(AllHipHop News) Detroit, Michigan rapper Big Sean is celebrating a victory in court today (October 26), after sexual misconduct charges against him were dropped.
Big Sean appeared in Lewiston, New York Court room today, where he faced charges surrounding an August 2011 incident and why.
The 23-year-old rapper was arrested and taken into custody on charges of misdemeanor counts of forcible touching, sex abuse and unlawful imprisonment.

Today in court, however the District Attorney decided not to pursue the sexual misconduct allegations and instead, allowed the rapper to plead guilty to lesser charges.

“I am pleased to announce that after further investigation, the Niagra County District Attorney decided not to pursue any of the sexual misconduct allegations against Mr. Anderson,” Big Sean’s attorney Scott Leemon Esq. told AllHipHop.com. “As a result and in order to get the entire ordeal behind him, Mr. Anderson agreed to plead guilty to unlawful imprisonment, along with a $750 fine. Mr. Anderson regrets any miscommunication that day, but reiterates he didn’t engage in any type of misconduct.”
Big Sean is currently on his way to Louisiana, where he will close out his finally famous tour.

Amy Winehouse Died From Drinking Too Much Alcohol

In the months following Amy Winehouse's death, her parents believed that -- after years of hard-living and drug and alcohol abuse -- their daughter died due to complications stemming from alcohol withdrawal. "Abstinence [from alcohol] gave her body such a fright, they thought it was eventually the cause of her death," a source close to the family said in July. It turns out, the complete opposite was true: According to the long-awaited coroner's inquest into the singer's death at the age of 27, Winehouse passed away after consuming an excessive amount of booze. The report stated that Amy died of "misadventure," since she voluntarily put the liquor into her system. "The unintended consequence of such potentially fatal levels (of alcohol) was her sudden and unexpected death," the coroner wrote.

The legal limit for operating an automobile in the U.K. is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood. Winehouse's blood-alcohol content at the time of her death: 416 milligrams, over five times the legal limit, Reuters reports. Depending on body type, a blood-alcohol content of 350 milligrams is when fatal alcohol poisoning could occur. Winehouse's ability to imbibe freely was reduced significantly after the singer quit drinking entirely in July, so when the sudden flood of alcohol reentered her system, the shock was too much for her body to handle. The toxicology report also confirmed that no illegal substances were found in the singer's system at the time of her death.

"It is some relief to finally find out what happened to Amy. We understand there was alcohol in her system when she passed away, it is likely a build up of alcohol in her system over a number of days," Winehouse's family said in a statement today. "The court heard that Amy was battling hard to conquer her problems with alcohol and it is a source of great pain to us that she could not win in time. She had started drinking again that week after a period of abstinence. It underlines how important our work with the Amy Winehouse Foundation is to us, to help as many young people and children as we can in her name. It means a lot to us and from the overwhelming messages of support we have had since Amy died, we know she meant a great deal to people all over the world."

DareDevil Skier Antoine Montant Found Dead

The body of daredevil skier, BASE jumper and speed-flying champion Antoine Montant was found Sunday in the French Alps, a day after his girlfriend had reported him missing.

Montant, 30, had embarked on a solo BASE jumping wingsuit expedition in the Haute-Savoie region. His main parachute had not been deployed.

The Frenchman clearly enjoyed life to its fullest. He was the national acrobatic paragliding champion from 2006 to 2008. He was first to combine acrobatic paragliding and BASE jumping and made what's still a record 120 tumbles while paragliding. (BASE jumping is parachuting from a stationary object and paragliding is flying beneath a fabric wing similar, in some respects to a hang-glider.)

Montant had won the Speed Flying Pro Les Arcs in France for the past three years. (Speed flying blends skiing with paragliding.)

Planetmountain.com described Montant as "a visionary explorer capable of living a reality which most considered pure madness. He breached the borders of what was hitherto believed skiable: thanks to his extraordinary paragliding ability he managed to ski the mountains like no one else before him."

Breaking News Gadhafi Is Dead

Deposed Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi has been killed, interim Libyan Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril told reporters in Tripoli on Thursday.

This story is fast developing. Gadhafi, 69, was in power for 42 years before being ousted in an uprising this year.

[Update 10:39 a.m. ET] Gadhafi's son, Mutassim, and his chief of intelligence, Abdullah al-Senussi, have been killed, according to Anees al-Sharif, spokesman for AbdelHakim Belhajj of the Tripoli military council.

This report comes on the day that Moammar Gadhafi has been killed.

[Update 10:36 a.m. ET] Former Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi has been killed, interim Libyan Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril told reporters in Tripoli Thursday.

[Update 10:32 a.m. ET] Catherine Ashton, the European Union foreign policy chief, said if the reports of Gadhafi's death are confirmed, his demise "brings closure to a tragic period in the lives of so many Libyans."

She also said that the fall of Gadhafi's hometown of Sirte "marks the end of the Gadhafi era."

"Libya is now under the full control of National Transitional Council forces," she said.

[Update 10:22 a.m. ET] Guma el-Gamaty, a Libyan political activist and former London coordinator for Libya's National Transitional Council, told CNN from London that leaders of anti-Gadhafi forces told him that Gadhafi was conscious and was talking shortly after he was injured.

Gadhafi said, “who are you, what’s going on?” but died later, according to el-Gamaty, who cited anti-Gadhafi forces. He said Gadhafi was injured as he resisted attempts to capture him.

[Update 10:14 a.m. ET] CNN's Ben Wedeman, who has covered the uprising in Libya for months, said one of the biggest risks for Libya moving forward is a strong impulse among revolutionary fighters and political leaders to commit revenge killings in an attempt to get rid of leftover elements of Gadhafi’s regime. Rioting and looting, thanks to overall instability, could follow, Wedeman said.

Former Gadhafi aide Abubaker Saad, now a professor of Middle Eastern history at Western Connecticut State University, told CNN that he is more optimistic about how Gadhafi's alleged death would affect Libya. He said on CNN that Libya's National Transitional Council is "really thirsty" to enact democratic reforms in the country.Saad said positive change will happen, but he added that it would be "foolish" to expect "smooth sailing" in a country which has been ruled for more than four decades by a dictator.

[Update 10:07 a.m. ET] Cell phone video aired by Arabic language TV network Al Jazeera appears to show Gadhafi's bloody body.

[Update 10 a.m. ET] CNN's Phil Black, reporting from the British prime minister's residence in London, says that the British government is making no comment about reports of Gadhafi's death, and that it's unlikely they would do so before Washington.

The NBA has officially announced the sale of the Sixers to a group headed by billionaire Joshua Harris. The new ownership group includes Philadelphia native Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

The NBA said its Board of Governors had “unanimously approved the sale” of the team. A news conference is scheduled for 11:30 Tuesday morning.

The new owners have named former Philadelphian Adam Aron CEO.

“My partners and I are thrilled to have become owners of the Sixers,” said Harris in the news release. “It’s an honor to be part of this storied franchise. We want to build on the team’s momentum and be world class and cutting edge in everything we do.”

The 46-year-old Harris, a Wharton grad, made his fortune as a leveraged buyout specialist. According to Forbes, he’s worth an estimated $1.5 Billion.

The deal is reportedly for $280 million.

RCA Records has shut down three of its more well-known subsidiary labels, Jive Records, Arista Records, and J Records, as The Hollywood Reporter points out. In a recent interview with the publication, RCA President Tom Corson explained that “the path we’ve taken is to refresh RCA, so we’re going to retire those brands. There may be a reason down the line to bring them back, but it’s a clean slate here.” The artists represented by these three labels will now be under the RCA umbrella.

Jive Records, founded in 1977, was one of the premiere labels for 80′s hip hop, having released iconic records from A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, R. Kelly, and DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. In the ’90s, the label helped break a trio of pop super stars in Britney Spears, ‘N Sync, and Backstreet Boys. More recently, it represented the likes of Chris Brown, Usher, and T-Pain.

Arista and J Records were both founded by legendary record executive Clive Davis. The former , launched in 1974, boasted a roster featuring Whitney House, Jennifer Hudson, Barry Manilow and Carlos Santana. J Records, founded in 2000, represented the likes of Alicia Keys, D’Angelo, and Rod Stewart.

Soulja Boy Arrested For Drugs & Guns In His Car

Youuuuuuuuuuu are focking up Soulja come on man dont mess up yo millions going down the wrong path my young brother.

Soulja Boy was arrested early this morning for weed possession ... and law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops allegedly found a TON of weed and cash during the arrest.

The 21-year-old rapper -- real name DeAndre Cortez Way -- was popped early this morning by Temple Police Department officers in Temple, GA at 3:15 AM.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Soulja was in a car with 4 other men, which was originally pulled over for a traffic violation.

We're told ... during the stop, cops found a "substantial amount" of marijuana and cash inside the vehicle." Soulja and the 4 other men were all arrested. Soulja is still being held in Carrol County Jail.

Law enforcement sources tell us officers also found guns inside the car -- though it's unclear if any of the men had the proper licenses to be in possession of the firearms.

We're told an investigation is underway.

One source with knowledge of the situation tells us there was roughly $70,000 in cash and drugs in the car.

TMZ has learned ... Rick Ross' private jet made an emergency landing in Birmingham, Alabama, 2 hours ago, en route to his concert in Memphis ... and we found out he suffered another seizure.

It's the second time today where a plane in which the rapper was a passenger made an emergency landing. We broke the story ... Rick suffered a seizure this morning on a Delta flight that returned to the Ft. Lauderdale airport.

Rick went to the hospital, was released, and then took off at 5:07 PM ET from Ft. Lauderdale to make his concert tonight in Memphis. But at 5:44 PM CDT, the plane was diverted and landed in Birmingham after Rick had a seizure on board.

Rick is currently in a Birmingham hospital emergency room. We do not know his condition.

Before Rick took off from Ft. Lauderdale, he tweeted a video showing he was ok.

Rick was supposed to be on stage in Memphis at 7:30 PM ET.

(AllHipHop News) West Coast veteran rapper Frost, better known as Kid Frost, reported on his Twitter account last night (October 12) that he suffered a mild stroke and was briefly hospitalized at Methodist Hospital of Southern California.
“I’m warning all of my homies with diabetes take care of yourself. I just suffered a stroke and landed in ICU @ methodist” said the rapper around 8 pm early yesterday evening.
About an hour later Frost updated his Twitter with pictures of himself in a hospital bed.
Frost informed his fans early today that he’s had various tests done such as ultrasound, MRI, cat scan and therapy.

“Test are all coming out good and a wake up call to hit the gym and get in a few more rounds of golf excercise to keep fit is order of day” Frost tweeted this afternoon.

The 48-year-old artist is best known for his 1990 hit “La Raza.”
It’s estimated that 25 million Americans suffer from Diabetes.

Breaking News Rick Ross Had Seizure On Air Plane

Rick Ross is unconscious and paramedics are desperately trying to resuscitate him.

Rick was on a flight going from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis today, when the rapper lost consciousness. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing.

Emergency workers tell us the call came in at 12:55 PM ET ... the caller reported a seizure.

Ross is currently on a gurney at the airport, and an eyewitness tells us EMT workers are administering CPR. Members of Rick's entourage are standing by, some of them extremely emotionally upset.

11:05 AM PST: It appears Rick Ross is now tweeting, claiming he is okay.

10:57 AM PST: Police confirm Ross has been transported to a nearby hospital.

A family member tells TMZ, Rick is currently under close supervision and is doing fine. We're told drugs and alcohol were not involved.

10:50 AM PST: Rapper Wale -- one of Rick's closest friends -- just tweeted, "I just talked to Ross...he's 100 pct ok.." Another member of Rick's entourage DJ Sam Sneaker also says the rapper is okay.

10:36 AM PST: A witness tells TMZ, Rick fell unconscious right after take-off.

We're told his entourage jumped out of their seats to alert plane personnel -- at which point a doctor on board administered CPR on the rapper.

The plane made an emergency landing right away -- and we're told, as Rick was being wheeled off the aircraft, he appeared to show signs of life.

Dennis MacAlistair Ritchie (September 9, 1941 - October 12, 2011) was an American computer scientist notable for developing C and for having influence on other programming languages, as well as operating systems such as Multics and Unix. He received the Turing Award in 1983 and the National Medal of Technology 1998 on April 21, 1999. Ritchie was the head of Lucent Technologies System Software Research Department when he retired in 2007

Born in Bronxville, New York, Ritchie graduated from Harvard University with degrees in physics and applied mathematics. In 1967, he began working at the Bell Labs Computing Sciences Research Center, and in 1968, he received a Ph.D. from Harvard under the supervision of Patrick C. Fisch

Ritchie is best known as the creator of the C programming language and a key developer of the Unix operating system, and as co-author of the definitive book on C, The C Programming Language, commonly referred to as K&R (in reference to the authors Kernighan and Ritchie).
Ritchie's invention of C and his role in the development of Unix alongside Ken Thompson have placed him as an important pioneer of modern computing. The C language is still widely used today in application and operating system development, and its influence is seen in most modern programming languages. Unix has also been influential, establishing concepts and principles that are now well-established precepts of computing.
Ritchie was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 1988 for "development of the 'C' programming language and for co-development of the UNIX operating system
