LRG clothing Co-Founder Jonas Bevacqua has died. There is little information to report on the cause of this fashion icon’s death, but a confirmation was made this afternoon via Twitter from online clothing store, Karmaloop, a carrier of LRG.
“Our thoughts & prayers go out to the loved ones of Jonas, co-founder of LRG. We're deeply saddened by this news. Rest in Peace.” – via @Karmaloop on Twitter
Bevacqua, who is a native of Southern California, developed LRG alongside Co-Founder and business partner Robert Wright in 1999.
In an interview with HypeBeast at the beginning of May, Bevacqua described LRG as an independent, family-operation, apparel company with multicultural roots, delighting in the collaborations between their extended family of professional athletes, artists, and musicians.

Singer Sean Kingston and a female passenger were injured in a Jet Ski accident and taken to a trauma center Sunday evening, a Florida official said.
Jorge Pino, spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, said the watercraft apparently crashed when it went under a small bridge about 6 p.m., though officials were still investigating the cause.
Pino said he did not know the conditions of Kingston or his passenger, who was on the back of the Jet Ski.
Earlier in the day, Kingston posted the following message on his Twitter account, which has more than 1.5 million followers:
"South beach... #nicee... bout to get fresh and cause that movie!!..."
Kingston's publicist at Epic Records, Joseph Carozza, issued a statement Sunday night confirming Kingston "was in an accident."
"No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well wishes," the statement said.
The Miami-born artist's real name is Kisean Anderson. He changed his name to Kingston to reflect his Jamaican heritage.
Kingston shot to fame in 2007 when his debut song "Beautiful Girls" became a No. 1 hit in the United States.

We’re very sad to bring this news: Jamie Byng, Gil Scott-Heron’s publisher in the UK, has tweeted that the poet and songwriter passed away today.
Just heard the very sad news that my dear friend and one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met, the great Gil Scott-Heron, died today.
Gil Scott-Heron’s death is NOT a rumour. I just called by Dorothy who is staying with Aunt Mimi in NY to tell me the news. I’m so sad.
So many rapper and musicians sampled his work, music and words this is not to be taken lightly who we've lost.

Gil Scott-Heron (April 1, 1949 - May 27, 2011[1]) was an American poet, musician, and author known primarily for his late 1970s and early 1980s work as a spoken word performer and his collaborative soul works with musician Brian Jackson. His collaborative efforts with Jackson featured a musical fusion of jazz, blues and soul music, as well as lyrical content concerning social and political issues of the time, delivered in both rapping and melismatic vocal styles by Scott-Heron. The music of these albums, most notably Pieces of a Man and Winter in America in the early 1970s, influenced and helped engender later African-American music genres such as hip hop and neo soul. Scott-Heron's recording work is often associated with black militant activism and has received much critical acclaim for one of his most well-known compositions "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". His poetic style has been influential upon every generation of hip hop since his popularity began.[2] In addition to being widely considered an influence in today's music, Scott-Heron is still active and in 2010 released his first new album in 16 years, entitled I'm New Here.

Last week, news broke that James Rosemond, CEO of Czar Entertainment and longtime manager to The Game, was issued a federal arrest warrant stemming from an alleged connection to a cocaine distribution scheme. The New York Post reported that Rosemond, who also reps singer Sean Kingston, was missing after being indicted for his supposed role in the case (the exact charges have not been disclosed as of press time). Jimmy Rosemond will turn himself in today (May 23), but before he does he offered XXLMag.com an exclusive statement where he defended his innocence:
“With the Name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful I have decided to break my silence to address slanderous media once and for all. Firstly, I want to apologize to every music artist and executive I’ve worked with. In addition, I apologize to my family and friends who have had to endure this horrible situation.
The events over the past week, to say the least, have caught me off guard. Although I have been aware of an investigation-taking place over the last four years, I was never informed that an arrest warrant had been issued in my name. I first learned about that warrant through the media when the news was released last week.
The purpose of this statement is not to assert some kind of grandiose conspiracy theory, but I will state some facts. These prosecutors have already begun my trial through the media and I’m releasing this statement in order to set the record straight. I just want a fair trial. I came up from nothing and made some mistakes early in my life of which I have already served time. Since then I have worked hard to establish my career in the music industry only to be targeted by these opportunistic prosecutors with a personal vendetta against me.
I would like to expose the two prosecutors spearheading this slanderous and trumped up case against me. The first, prosecutor Todd Kaminsky, is a 33-year-old White hip-hop head that if he weren’t a lawyer he would probably be a member of the Beastie Boys. Second, Carolyn Porkony, who failed in convicting the Murder Inc. Irv Gotti brothers on trumped up charges of money laundering. Both have a personal stake in pursuing me and will stop at nothing to bring down an innocent man.
I have endured slanderous media for quite some time. Last year, in their frustration, they employed Chuck Phillips and the Daily News to write baseless stories in the media saying I was a snitch (but never mentioned or produced one person I ‘snitched’ on) to hopefully get people to start cooperating with their bogus investigation. Chuck Phillips started a campaign against me and wrote dozens of letters to inmates serving considerable time in federal prison begging them to cooperate. When those tactics didn’t work, they subpoenaed every person that knew me or worked with me in the music industry, including my accountants, lawyers, secretary, etc.
What compels me to expose this is that I know if I don’t I will not get a fair trial. Todd Kaminsky is hanging his hat on this case and has gone beyond his office to make sure he sensationalizes this to propel himself to some high-end law firm or political office. This is obvious from the deals he has already given his ‘witnesses’ to testify against me. Henry “Black” Butler, a known rolling 60’s gang member, and wife Leah Daniels who are Kaminsky’s star ‘witnesses’ were arrested with drugs and machine guns in Los Angeles. Butler was promised five years and his wife got her case dismissed in exchange for implicating me in their operation. I know nothing of Butler’s criminal activities and was never involved with him concerning those criminal activities. I just know him as a self-proclaimed gangbanger who told jokes all the time and worked for Loud Records in the 90’s. They leaked all this false information about me to the media and left out the truth that Henry Butler denied my involvement until he was promised a reduced sentence of five years if he included me in his operations. There’s absolutely no evidence that supports my involvement in any of this, yet I have been implicated with someone I have no associations with. Through our own investigations, we have compiled a lot of information that proves the prosecutors are overly zealous and aggressive, not to mention unconstitutional. They gave witnesses immunity and have gone as far as to threaten individuals with indictments if they didn’t talk to them about me and corroborate their tales. For instance, Ali “Zo” Adam, whose serving 18 years was offered a lesser sentence and the witness protection program if he testified against me. He refused saying he couldn’t live with the lie but admitted he was tempted by the offer. Many were tempted with the prospect of freedom and hence a case with no evidence was born against me. THIS IS NOT JUSTICE.
Khalil Abdullah’s indictment was leaked in the media as well. I never saw my name on that indictment, and I don’t know what I have to do with whatever he’s been indicted for. Up to now I don’t know what I may be charged with or what crime I’ve committed. For the last 10 years I’ve dedicated myself to servicing the music community but because of my so-called ‘checkered past’, I’ve become an easy target for prosecutors Todd Kaminsky and Carolyn Porkony, not to mention fiction writers like Chuck Phillips and his Daily News cohorts.
If the government is relying on informants like Winston “Winnie” Harris, a convicted drug dealer and Jamaican deportee, who came to me and motioned via hand signal that he was forced to wear a wire and begged me to skip town or Dexter Isaac who is serving life in prison plus 30 years then I’m sure I will not be offered a fair trial. Where’s the real proof that I have committed these crimes? I just want my fair trial and to not be railroaded as they so eagerly want to do.
A fair trial is afforded by the constitution and witnesses should be forthright without pressure or duress. That’s all I want and I’ll turn myself in today.
Again, I apologize to my peers, artists and family for being subjected to all of this.

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- The medical examiner says a 62-year-old man discovered dead in his basement of his Brownsville home was murdered.
The victim was found stuffed inside a storage bin in the basement
Stanley Wright had been reported missing from his Chauncey Street home. However, his son found him in the basement sometime after 3:00 Tuesday morning.
Wright's son called police, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner said he died of stab wounds to the torso and neck.
Wright was a jazz musician who performed under the name Suleiman "Hakim" Wright. He was also a retired music teacher and was well liked in the neighborhood.
His daughter, N'Bushe Wright, is a Hollywood actress best known for her roles in "Blade" and "Dead Presidents." She is returning to Brooklyn from Los Angeles.

SEMINOLE - World-famous wrestler Randy 'Macho Man' Savage, known for his "Ohhhh yeah" catch phrase, died in a car accident today in Seminole, according to TMZ.
Around 9:30 a.m., a Jeep Wrangler was heading west on SR-694 close to the intersection of 113th St. N when the driver lost control of the vehicle, went over a concrete median, crossed over the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a tree, according to a FHP report.
The 58-year-old driver was rushed to Largo Medical Center, where he later died from the injuries. A 56-year-old woman in the car suffered minor injuries.
The report withheld the identity of the driver, pending notification of the family.
But TMZ is reporting that Savage, 58, was behind the wheel and that he lost control of the Jeep because he had a heart attack.
Savage, whose real name was Randall Mario Proffo, began wrestling with the WWF back in 1985. He became one of the league's most popular stars and was known for his catch phrase: the deep-throated, raspy, over-the-top "Ohhh yeah."
Even non-wrestling fans would likely recognize the line thanks to Savage's frequent appearances in television commercials for Slim Jim beef jerky snacks.
Before his wrestling days, the Ohio native played minor league baseball for several teams. He ended his baseball career with the Tampa Tarpons in 1974.
Savage had just celebrated his one-year anniversary with his second wife.
His fellow wrestlers, many of whom also live in the Tampa area, sent their condolences via Twitter. Hulk Hogan had just ended a decade-long feud with Savage and said he was "devastated."
"He had so much life in his eyes & in his spirit, I just pray that he's happy and in a better place and we miss him," tweeted Hogan.
"You were one of my childhood inspirations and heros. Strength, love and prayers to the Savage/Poffo family," added Dwayne Johnson, better known as 'The Rock.'

Comedian Mike Epps has been tapped to serve as host of the celebration, which comes as DeKalb, County, Georgia honors Tupac on June 16th, which officials have officially declared "Tupac Shakur Day."
"I am greatly honored to have been invited by Afeni Shakur to celebrate her
son's 40th birthday. I do not take this honor for granted," Erykah Badu said in a statement.
The third annual celebration will take place at the Atlanta Symphony Hall in Atlanta on June 16th.

(AllHipHop News) One of the members of hit rap group Cali Swag District died last night, according to group member, C-Smoove.
While details have not been revealed yet, C-Smoove took to his Twitter account where he posted a message eulogizing Cali Swag District's M-Bone.
"Ma life changed drastically in the. Blink of an eye rip bone," C-Smoove tweeted earlier this morning (May 16th).
Sources with AllHipHop.com said that M-Bone was actually shot Sunday night, reportedly as an innocent victim in a random drive-by shooting.
That account has not been publicly confirmed by the group or authorities.
M-bone, born Montae Walker, was part of Cali Swag District, which hit big with the single "Teach Me How to Dougie."
Cali Swag District features group members Yung, JayAre and C-Smoove.
They are planning to release their debut album The Kick Back, which has been delayed several times, despite the phenomenal success of "Teach Me How to Dougie."
The group recently parted ways with their label, Capitol.

DALLAS (AP/CBSDFW.COM) – Former Dallas Cowboys running back Ron Springs, who spent the past four years in a coma after losing oxygen during a 2007 operation, has died at age 54 without ever regaining consciousness.
Since 2007, Springs had been in a coma after surgery to remove a cyst from his forearm went awry. He was considered brain impaired but not brain dead. He was diagnosed with diabetes in 1990 and received a kidney transplant in 2007.
Former Cowboys teammate Everson Walls, who donated a kidney to Springs for a transplant, says the Springs family informed him that his friend died about 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Medical City Dallas hospital.
The hospital is where Springs first slipped into the coma after undergoing the cysst surgery.
Walls and Springs started the Gift For Life foundation after the kidney donation.
CBS 11 spoke with Walls Thursday night, who confirmed his friend and former teammate had passed away. “I was shocked… We were hoping he would be able to come out of this. His family is very spiritual, and they truly believe he is in a better place.”
Walls says Springs’ death will bring renewed attention to organ donation and the problems associated with diabetes.

Osama bin Laden is dead and US has body, says person familiar with developments. President Barack Obama is scheduled to address the nation Sunday night from the East Room of the White House.
(CNN) -- Osama bin Laden is dead, sources told CNN Sunday night.
A senior U.S. official tells CNN that Osama bin Laden was killed by the U.S. forces in a mansion outside the Pakistani capital of Islamabad along with other family members.
Congressional and administration sources say U.S. officials have the body of bin Laden. Further details around his death were not immediately available.
U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to address the nation shortly.
