Steve McNair, the NFL's co-MVP in 2003, has been found dead according to the Nashville police. An unidentified woman was also found dead at the scene.

The former Titans and Ravens quarterback was the franchise leader in wins by a starting quarterback and was the single-season record-holder in passer rating.

He was drafted third overall by the Houston Oilers in 1995 after a sparkling career at then-Div. I-AA Alcorn State.

He spent the first 11 years of his career with the Oilers/Tennessee Titans and in addition to winning 2003 league MVP honors, he led the Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV.

In his final two seasons, McNair was the Ravens' starting quarterback and in 2006 he led them to a 13-3 record and an AFC North crown.
