A few weeks back, the 2009 Dallas Observer Music Awards balloting process began--somewhat quietly, I admit.
Distinguished area musicians, producers, booking agents, sound engineers, bloggers, journalists and others from around the region received an email asking them to nominate the artists they most respected and enjoyed from the past year. Once they were done, more than 80 nomination ballots were submitted to us for tabulation. First, congratulations on your nomination. We are very excited to be on the ballot with so many talented musicians such as yourself. We cant wait til the 18th of July. There is going to be so much ridiculously great talent in one concentrated area.
